Why this notebook exists
LocoNotas is the lab notebook. It holds the dated material that does not belong in a project’s reference docs: reading notes, experiment logs, hardware quirks, and ideas that are not yet a finding.
The rule is one home per artifact. Stable documentation lives on the project sites. Formal papers and grant outputs live on research.borck.dev. Dated observations live here.
What a note records
Section titled “What a note records”- The date and the context
- The source, if there is one
- What was observed
- What is still uncertain
- The project or projects it touches
Status labels
Section titled “Status labels”draft: not ready to readpublished: written, not necessarily verifiedunverified: a claim from an external source that we have not checkedverified: checked against a primary source or a measurementsuperseded: replaced by a newer note
